The Lincoln Park, Michigan, community and the Lincoln Park Fire Department are mourning the sudden loss of Sgt. Adam J. Amrozi, a dedicated firefighter-paramedic whose life was defined by service, compassion, and unwavering commitment to others. Adam passed away unexpectedly on July 19, 2026, at the age of 52, leaving behind family, friends, fellow first responders, and countless community members heartbroken.
Fire Chief Michael Prinz announced the devastating news, describing Adam as far more than a firefighter. He was a trusted leader, loyal friend, and devoted public servant whose kindness and professionalism left an enduring mark on everyone fortunate enough to know him.
“Adam was more than a firefighter—he was a dedicated public servant and a friend to so many in our department,” Chief Prinz said. “His commitment to serving the residents of Lincoln Park and his unmatched kindness to his fellow firefighters and friends will leave a lasting impact on all who had the privilege to know him.”
Born on January 22, 1974, Adam dedicated his career to protecting others. He served as a firefighter-paramedic with the Lincoln Park Fire Department after previously serving with the Riverview Fire Department. Throughout his years in public safety, he earned the respect of colleagues for his courage, humility, and willingness to help anyone in need. Whether responding to emergencies or mentoring fellow firefighters, Adam exemplified the true spirit of service.
Inside the fire station, Adam was affectionately known as “Chef.” His passion for cooking brought firefighters together, creating a sense of family during long shifts. His meals, generosity, and sense of humor became cherished traditions among his coworkers.
A graduate of Trenton High School, Adam excelled in both football and hockey. One of his proudest athletic achievements came in 1991 when he helped lead his hockey team to a state championship, demonstrating the teamwork and determination that would continue to define his life.
Above all else, Adam treasured his family. He is survived by his beloved wife, Sara Boritzki-Amrozi, and their daughter, Genesis Amrozi. He also leaves behind his parents, John and Michelle Amrozi; his sister, Lisa (Jeff) Jacobs; father-in-law Tom Boritzki; brother-in-law Tom (Stefanie) Boritzki; and many extended family members and friends who will forever cherish his memory.
Visitation will be held on July 24, 2026, from 12 p.m. to 9 p.m. at The Trenton Chapel – Martenson Family of Funeral Homes in Trenton, Michigan. A Firefighter and Family Sharing Service will begin at 7 p.m., providing colleagues, friends, and loved ones an opportunity to celebrate Adam’s remarkable life and legacy of service.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorial contributions be made to the Michigan Humane Society.
Sgt. Adam J. Amrozi will be remembered as a courageous first responder, devoted husband and father, gifted mentor, and compassionate friend whose legacy of selfless service will continue to inspire generations of firefighters and the community he proudly served.
